What is the YourSim Plan?

The YourSim Plan allows you to use any GSM Cellular service provider in the world to send the vehicle tracking telemetry from an ST Advisor, ST Battery, or ST Personal to our tracking server.  If you live outside North America, this can be a very economical way to use our tracking solution in your area.

To use your tracking device, you will need to go to your local GSM service provider and purchase a GSM sim card that includes a GPRS data plan subscription.  Most customers will find that a 1 MB per month plan is more than adequate, although it is possible that the device could send more than 1 MB of data monthly if the device is being used under extreme conditions.

In addition to the subscription you pay your local GSM service provider for the wireless service, you will also need to maintain a YourSim subscription with us for the tracking service. 

Steps for Using the YourSim Plan:

1.  Purchase a tracking device with the YourSim tracking subscription from our store.
2. After you complete your purchase, you will be directed to a page where you will need to enter in the following information about your GSM wireless service provider:
   1. The Service Providers Name
   2. Their website address
   3. The APN for their GPRS service, along with the username and password if used by the system.
3. When you receive your tracking device, insert the activated GSM sim card from your service provider into the unit using the included instructions.  The unit should start reporting into our servers. 

We will verify the information that you provide us on your GSM service provider, and program your unit specifically to operate on that network.
